Cooking Methods:

  1. Adobong Pusit:

    • Ingredients: Squid, soy sauce, vinegar, garlic, onions, tomatoes, and bay leaves.
    • Method: Clean the squid and keep the ink. Sauté garlic, onions, and tomatoes, then add the squid. Pour in soy sauce and vinegar, add bay leaves, and simmer until the squid is tender.
  2. Ginataang Pusit:

    • Ingredients: Squid, coconut milk, garlic, onions, ginger, and green chili peppers.
    • Method: Sauté garlic, onions, and ginger. Add the squid and cook briefly. Pour coconut milk, season with salt and pepper, and simmer until the sauce thickens. Add green chili peppers for a bit of heat.

Storage Tips:

  • Refrigeration: Store fresh squid in the refrigerator if you plan to use it within a day or two. Keep it in an airtight container or wrap it tightly in plastic wrap.
  • Freezing: For longer storage, freeze the squid. Place it in a freezer-safe bag, removing as much air as possible before sealing. It can be stored in the freezer for up to three months.
